The North Laine Traders Association began in 1989 as a group of traders who shared information and began to advertise the area to our mutual benefit. We now have over 140 members and are represented on many council and business groups. We have negotiated a special deal on Merchant Services from Bank of Scotland. The NLTA also have links with many local professional companies to give advice on accounts, commercial property and other business services. Sharon came from a corporate background to start the Off Beat Coffee Bar in Sydney Street 5 years ago and is now firmly established within the local business community. An NLTA member since opening she was elected as Chair of the association at the AGM in 2006.

Peter opened the Workshop Pottery with his wife over 29 years ago and was a founder member of the NLTA in 1989. He is a past Chair of the North Laine Community association and a governor of City College Brighton and Hove. |
