The North Laine Traders Association began in 1989 as a group of traders who shared information and began to advertise the area to our mutual benefit. We now have over 100 members and are represented on many council and business groups. We have negotiated a special deal on Merchant Services from Bank of Scotland. The NLTA also have links with many local professional companies to give advice on accounts, commercial property and other business services.

Sharon came from a corporate background to start the Off Beat Coffee Bar in Sydney Street 8 years ago and is now firmly established within the local business community. An NLTA member since opening she was elected as Chair of the association at the AGM in 2006.

David took over the family run Pavilion Gardens Cafe, between New Road and the Royal Pavilion in 1985. The family run business is popular with residents, tourists and traders as a local meeting point. David has been a member since 1993 and a street rep for 3 years. He represents us on many Council committees.

Donna has owned and run the popular deli Hells Kitchen in Gardner Street with her husband Michael for the past 8 years. She has been a street rep for 3 years and a member of the association since starting her business. Donna represents the NLTA on City in Bloom.

David has worked in the North Laine area since 1978 and has been a partner in Marks & Co. Chartered Accountants since 1993. He was one of the first members of the NLTA and has been the elected Treasurer since 1993.
