Treasurer's Report
Peter gave David’s report and told those present that we had £7204 in the account, with commitments for website and launch. We had decided to look at membership charges for 2007 in October.
Pedestrianisation
29th July finally saw the start of weekend pedestrianisation for Sydney Street and Gardner Street. It is still too early to tell but first reports are very positive. Still problems with space and cyclists who are weaving between shoppers.
Bid Update
Now in place but still too early for action to be taken except for appointment of a Christmas lights provider. Peter to invite Gren (Ananda’s) to speak at the September members meeting.
Newsletter
Main focus of newsletter to be the website, other articles to include notice of Septembers meeting and agenda, BID update, New Road works, Southern water and parking charge increases.
Meetings
September 12th will be the next members meeting at the Foyer. Police invited and Lisa from the crime reduction partnership has agreed to speak.
Website and launch
Brian explained that all was going well and the Nothlaine.co.uk website will be live by late August. More members details are still needed. We held a discussion on the launch, due in late September and those present thought the library the best venue. Peter to explore. David offered Pavilion Gardens Café if we thought the weather might hold.
A.O.B.
Eddie suggested that we should continue to explore more sustainable and ‘green’ packaging and recycling solutions for our members.
Next meeting – 6pm. Tuesday 12th September at the Foyer, Pelham Street.
